Winter break

Winter break was a big jump for me... many things changed... some of them are surprise some of them are not expected.  I just realize apple production are hell useful in my life... maybe I should GET one for my birthday... I haven't figured out what present should I get for my birthday... too many things happen in this winter break, and I wouldn't say there's no improvement for me at all during this winter break... it seems almost going to end... well... the point of typing Blogger now is try to get some concentration on my work... because i almost fell asleep... i not sure am i wasting time now or what... because it seems I haven't finished half of my homework yet... and I have to figure out a way to complete them before tomorrow's class... And I don't even want to mention about school's work... The only assignment  i did was Algebra II... but it's okay i will find a way to get them done... as always... So let's analyze what is my problem for procrastinating my work until last minutes.... This is my blogger... so i don't want to feel stressful or any pressure which means i don't want to keep any secret on this page... I know the point of typing this is to gain extra credit for our grade, and practicing our English... But let's make this program becomes interesting... beginning on this page... i won't care what other people think or what they concern about.... I just want to write my thought and opinion... maybe my actions? on this page.... stuff like... "Oh today was a good day.... I am concerning about should i spend that much time on chatting with my girlfriend? or should i spend more time on doing my homework.... well... if i want to get my work done perfectly then I will have to give up chatting with her... which will make me feel depressed... conversely if i keep chatting with her and only eighty percent of my work... then I will feel upset because it should be happened... but I don't really worry about those time management at all... Because I think i will figure out the way to solve this paradox soon... by considering which one should use brain and which one does not have to use brain which means you can do it without thinking... well... then I will say finish my homework when the time i feel full of energy and maybe chat with girlfriend after i get my work done... it's easy to type it out but it's not easy to do it right... so pushing yourself is the only way... don't consider too much stuff.... looking for improvement... and don't get too stressful...

Many people will walk in and out in your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

            Since I got here... I never know what is true friend, I didn't notice how important to have a real friendship, I never feel heart can be so warm with friends accompany, I didn't know my friends are always there be with me. This has taught me an important lesson that friends don't need to be many but real. It's all about trust , if people betray you by telling your mistakes or things that you don't want other people to know. Apparently, this behavior tells you are betraying with your friends. You always turn a good mood or pleasant face in front of people, but you are actually expressing oppositely in your heart which is ironic. If now I see the person in the hallway, I will loudly and clearly say "....." This experience has taught me how pathetic can be a betrayer be.... I believe "Many people will walk in and out in your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart" which means only true friends have great influence in you life....... Well... if you ask "hey, who will be the most significant person in your life" Then I will say "Julius" who is always be my best friend.

Christmas performance

            Christmas performance is approaching, and this is my second time to participate in the activity. I still remember last year... I came to this school during Christmas and I didn't know how to speak English, or how to write an Essay. I didn't even know what is "cafeteria" or "auditorium". The only thing I know is sit there and try to understand what does teacher say.I don't really have friend in the beginning last year, which is normal for a new student. And I start recalling those memory because one year has passed since I came here. I think I had changed myself by getting through those difficulties. Personally, I think improvement is caused by overcoming different hardships. Pushing yourself is the only way to become successful. If you energy as same as other people, what are you expect to become better than others? The certain way to be greater than other is keep working hard incessantly until you achieve your accomplishment. Don't let hesitation affect you become a procrastinate. Oh I think I had deviated my topic again... well... the thing I am trying to say is maybe you think you feel extremely tired now, and you want to take a nap or take a break, however this behavior will interfere yourself by being lazy. Just keep working hard with a nonstop spirit, then after one year, you will see how much have you improved after those days.

Find the way to solve it

            Generally, as a human being, there are different problems need to be overcome daily. Problems can be defined as social problem, educational problem or your sleep problem which are the most three essential materials for teenagers.  People usually arrange those problems to examine which one is the most important should be done at first. However, some people mostly spend lots of time on thinking about what should they do next. For instance, you are taking one or two hours on thinking about how many assignments do you have or still have much of work need to be completed. Accordingly, your energy gradually decreasing by think too much without actually doing. Then, you will realize how procrastinated you are. But the point I am going to point out today is people ought to face their daily problems instead of avoiding them. You don't avert educational problems, because you have your responsibility to get them done on time. You don't get away from social problem, maybe you can leave there, but this will be the worst choice for you. At this moment, I am going to talk more details on social problems. As the journal I wrote for yesterday about "Partner and Gossiper". Now this problems seem to be solved so far so good, although I didn't really sure if that person got my message or not. Anyway, after this experience, I have learned an important lesson on solving problem as soon as possible. There is a weakness for Asian, people usually procrastinate their problems until the end which means the problems have gradually extended but you are cool with that, so you decide to leave there instead of solving as fast as you can.

Partner or Gossiper?

            In our school... Few people usually gossip about other peoples' secrets or astonishing stuff in order to alleviate their tension. However, those gossiper are mostly welcome people which mean they have a fantastic social life on this campus. Consequently, our school gradually form a level system... as you can see... some of certain people are often bullied by some arrogant peoples' language... Well... I think that's pretty normal... as the result of it happens not only here but also in society. Oh... I think I am kinda deviate my topic... the thing I am going to point out it's... some people like gossiping, and I don't blame on them because this is their habits so as a human being, I don't have authority to resist what kind habits do you guys have... But I am gonna say even though gossip can satisfy your pathetic mind... sometimes you have to think about which is appropriate to say and which is not... If you tell me... oh "I know what I am talking about", then I can accept that... because you are old enough that I believe you have judgment on differentiating right and wrong... Unless you tell me you are not my partner anymore, then I will know oh "wait a second, if you are not my friend anymore? then I don't have to care about your behavior which means I will not feel as deplorable as now FOR YOU. That's it... we used to be great friends. Once... I was wondering about why some of your friend stop talking to you? Now I figure out the reason, but I think it wouldn't have enough strength to destroy our friendship... It just not gonna be as well as before... Last reminder for you... you are a nice person, because you always care about your friends' feeling... or help them to get through their sadness... I appreciate your courage sometimes... and I hope you can solve "Gossip" this weakness before you go to college... because it will influence you negatively as I see on you SO FAR...

Musical Production

            Today, Ms. Padachie provided a big surprise for our musical production class. She had invited a professor from London to our school to teach us  order to lead us warm up and practice on our movement and acting. The first impression he has given me was "tough" and "professional". Therefore, we had separated into two groups, one is the group for acting and voice, anther is for designing background and dresses. So basically we were unable to go t class for second period, as the result of we had to go practice for our movement. The very interesting things that happened today was Mr.Daniel who was the guy from London. He had showed different fun gesture and movement that I have never seen. Well... honestly, I felt kind of nervous in the beginning of his class, because his expression was like a tough but intelligent leader who was so easy to get mad at people if they did anything wrong. Conversely, I think I was wrong, he had nicely taught us many things that were useful for our musical production. Now, I feel kind of regretful because I didn't make the comment about those exercises at the first time. But, I think it was because of that, it had created a motivation that told me I should participate more for this activity. Accordingly, I was willing to be volunteers for the rest of activities such as acting imaginatively or pretended that you were a king walking with holding queen's hand, something like that. It actually had a lot of fun, well... after those warm up, I think I have an idea about how to act appropriately with my characters and how to show those emotions. Another interesting that he taught us was he wrote about some pronunciations in order to improve our singing. and he also guaranteed us if we work on those pronunciation daily, then we will see our improvement in this area. As a conclusion, today we have been through an interesting journeys, and I think that was a rare experiences, therefore, I had also learned that people should participate more for those opportunities, otherwise you will probably never have those great chances again.

Christmas performance.

Today is a day for practicing on our Christmas performance. Therefore, sophomore students had gathered together in cafeteria and discussed about how our performances was going to work. Basically, sophomore leader had separated every grade 10^th students into four groups. And each group was going to focus on certain country to show the spirit about Christmas. My group is working on Australia. As we know, Australia is renowned for its valuable animals such as kangaroo. Accordingly, we determine to use those animals as our character in our script. Other groups were going to work on other countries like Taiwan, America and France which are all interesting. Personally, I think our group had a nice script after our editor’s revising.  We have four characters in our story, and the story is mainly about two kangaroos are fighting about who will be a person to get the job for giving gifts with Santa appropriately. So there’s the beginning of the story, two kangaroos meet together someday, and they are gossiping about what they going to do for Christmas, however, they are going to the same thing which is be a partner with Santa and help him to give the gift to other children in Christmas. In this case, they start to fight in order to see who will be a winner for this job. Basically, I think our story has included a sense of humor and show the Christmas spirit. And our group didn’t forget the most important about Christmas in Australia. Their Christmas is summer, unlike other country is winter. Therefore, people are going to wear short pants to show they are celebrating Christmas during the summer. So our script so far so good, the only things we need to practice on is to memorize our part for our script and to buy material and make our dresses. 

Celebration or speculation?

            I just realized that every Tuesday and Thursday I got different celebration need to deal with, which obstruct me to go to U.M.C to work out. Well... celebration is good which you have time can hang out with your friend, gossip around or spend time on building your social life. This time, it's one of my best friend's birthday, alan hsu. I guess this time will be his 17 years old birthday, however, I didn't prepare any gifts for him, well... maybe I did, but I don't think that should be counted as a present......Well... just now, people who went to eat hot pot today for celebration are discussing who didn't pay the money, because when one of us was paying money for hot pot, he realized he had to pay more than 400 dollars which means one of us didn't give money. And I don't actually like the feeling about people are suspecting around each other. It is gonna be seemed like everyone is betraying their friendship with each other. I think we will find a way to figure it out. Integrity has been talking about on this campus lately, as the result of some students had betrayed themselves in order to get higher grade in their quiz. This problem was just a perfect example to be discussed about integrity. Therefore, no matter what, I don't wish everyone's friendship has become disunited eventually. 

Right things

              "Right things" can be generally defined as different meaning. For instance, pouring down fire is a right thing for firefighters, diagnosing is a right thing for doctors, and my right thing is to study diligently in order to get good grades, because I am a student. Anyway, the thing which I am indicating is "I finally deactivated my Facebook account" which is another right thing for me. Well...As human being's curiosity, people start to ask "Why would you do that?". I am going to simply answer that because I think Facebook is not a useful social network, which apparently means my friendship has not really improve by that. Let's do some quick analysis, how long did you spend on Facebook daily? approximately half and hour or one hour? usually, people don't really know exactly how long do they spend on it, as the result of it is social network. As I know, "Social" is a thing that never stop in high school, unless you become a nerd and never talked to other people. In this case, you  can not simply handle how long are you gonna spend on it, because social things incessantly pop up on your website which means you never gonna leave that page, until you feel tedious or bored. Subsequently, your studying time will be distracted by it naturally. Thinking always easier than doing, as a human being. So when you are thinking that you are going to spend 15 minutes on Facebook, however that is not gonna happen. Because seldom people can resist social thing, and if you actually fight it back, then you probably will feel a bit uncomfortable or painful... Why not just make is easier, To deactivate it, then the devil never have chance to distract you. 

Show some spirit

           Ya, today might be the most exciting day in this semester, because we are going to have the most enthusiastic event "Sports day"!!! All of team have flag and powerful chain with them, they are ready for beating other teams. This is my first time to participate in sports day, there are individual sports and teamwork sports. Everyone has to show their spirit in order to win the final championship. For this time, I have 100 Dash and 200 Relay. Unfortunately, I think I didn't do a good job on 100 Dash. I was kind of confused and hesitated in the end, because I didn't see the real line, so I stop at the line in front of the final line naturally. I prefer 200 Relay actually, because I almost ran over the first runner, which made the distance between other teams' getting shorter. Well... I had lots of fun today, even though we lost on some of events, I think the most important thing is not you win or not. It was you showed your sports spirit, if winner never should be arrogant and loser never should be dejected. That's how to show your spirit in sports day. Next time, I think we can work on our chain part in order to cheer whole team up. This time, we have nice one honestly, but it was kinda hard for the entire team to sing it in the same time. Our team used "Angry bird" as our mascot. Anyway, we got a great outcome in the end of the sports day which means we won the championship which was pretty good. But we didn't win the team spirit eventually, so I think we will come back on next time. 

Finally

            Today, I finally asked the question to Mr Dahl which I have been thinking for a long time. And I am glad that I spoke the question out, because the process seemed much complicated than I thought. If I mention the question in the end of this semester, then I think it will be too late. I am glad that Mr. Dahl was willing to help me as always. When he understands what the student need, he will try his best to assist you which is touching. This afternoon, I had a conversation with Mr. Dahl about having ability to go to main stream or not. This might will be a big turning point for me, because half of my classes will be changed as well, which means I need to spend time to get used to the new system and catch up progress with other classmates. It will be a great challenge, but I wan t to push myself and see what I can do, so I think I am ready for those difficulties. Now, Mr. Dahl is trying to help me about getting new system, however, I know there's no certain answer which means Mr. Dahl can't promise me if I can go or not, but he will try his best to help me out on this situation. So I do not have qualification on confining what is gonna happen or what will be a finally result for this problem. Apparently, this is just an opportunity for me, either stay ELS II, then I keep working as hard as before, or go to Main Stream and see what abilities do I get. People might curious about why I am so eager to go to main stream on the following semester, as the result of I think I have enough ability to do that, and compare to my English to ELS III students', I think there's not a big difference, which means if they can handle the class, then I can do the same thing as well. 

Become a point guard

            Today's basketball practice is special for me, because I am going to play point guard for the starting five player, which is very excited. Honestly, I have been waiting for this opportunity, and today, I finally get my chance. Our present-captain is senior, so our team need to find another captain for next year. Some of people here get skill but no charisma, and some of people get leadership but lack technique. As you see, it's hard to decide who will be the most appropriate person for next year's captain. I think if I would like to be, then I must work extremely hard without hesitation. I always believe that tough guy are always people who work harder than others, therefore, I should seize this opportunity and practice even harder in order to achieve my dream. First, I need to manage my time. Management is always important for everything. Needing to find a point that can balance playing basketball and having a good grade. So I already for all the difficulties and hardship that I am going to face. Keep pushing myself and trying to concentrate on my work is my first goal, afterwards, I start to figure out how long should I spend on practicing basketball and working on my assignment.     
I think, every 15:15 ~ 18:00 will be time for practicing basketball. 18:00~19:00 time for dinner. 19:00~22:00 for sleeping. 22:00~3:30 for studying. 3:30~7:30 for sleeping, then ready for school.

Musical Production part 2

             As you know, every Tuesday and Friday's third period is one of my favorite class "Musical Production", and today I didn't have chance to go on the stage again, because it hadn't got on my part yet, so I just sat there and chatted with other people. The good thing about sitting there is you can understand more interesting things about your classmate by talking to them, now I know some of their habits, and everyone becomes chatterboxes when they talked about their interesting things which is good. I think I can promote each other's friendship by hanging out with them during the break time. The break time here means, while you are waiting for others until you get your part in the script. Honestly, those main characters acting skill is improving obviously, which is better than I expected. And today we got take home quiz chapter 15 to 24 need to be finished by next Tuesday, I guess I will need to reread the story about, because I already forgot some part of it. Last time, I watched a great dramatic video about " The Wizard of Oz", and I was focusing on my part of it. When the general appeared, they became to sing "YO HEE YO HOO" something like that, which was pretty cool, although they didn't have meaning. I think next time, I can get my opportunity to go on the stage. By the way, before that, next class we are going to meet stage art's students in order to deal with our dresses. I hope we can finish that as soon as possible, then we can have more time to practice on our production. 

My opinion after our final football game

              Today, it's our final football game for PE class. This year, Coach Li has another way to give our grade, he says winner team, your grade will start at A, however, losing team, you guys' grade is gonna be start at B, which is a big difference. Luckily, we have participation grade to pull out our total grade, otherwise this class is going to be as tough as AP class. Well... Last time, we won the softball, and I got A in this class naturally. This time... not as lucky as last time. Our original team members have separated which means we are not as powerful as before. And the most unbelievable thing is my best friend Godwin is the captain on my enemy's team... What a sad combination... Anyway, I am still the captain on my team, so I think each side has a same sport skill to win this final game... Unexpectedly, one or two of their members had great football experience before, which means they already had lots of good skill. They have more practices than us, and they know strategies more than us. Well... it's kinda unfair... Because in this case, the team skill is not as balance as I thought. Anyway, the point is our team had lost the game, but good thing to know is our teammate didn't feel too much depressed, because we know everyone already did their best on not only defense but also offense. I think this experience can push me to a higher position, after that, I know what weakness does our team have, and which part still need to work on it. Now, I have confidence to win our next game, I gonna lead each of my teammate to get the victory. Losing makes me stronger, next time always be better than last time. 

Three days break

Nice, this is my first time to participate in Thanksgiving, and I think it was awesome. Lots of delectable food on the table, and most of them were from students' parents. Too bad, my mom didn't have chance to donate any food, because we lived in Taoyuan, so it's kind of not convenient to deliver food from there to our school. But I think next time, she can just give me money, and I can order pizza or stuff like that. I didn't eat much Turkey meat on that day, because I was attracting by other delicious food. Everyone enjoyed watching a nice football game on that day. I would say I love that event very much, that was a joyful and fun activity. After Thanksgiving, we had a PD day on Friday which meant we didn't have to come to school at that day. However, I think I didn't really have fun during the three days break, because most of time I was in my room. Either using laptop or studying, just like my friend told me, I should go out frequently in order to relieve my stress. Hopefully, this week all the old ESL kids can go watch movie with Ms.Padachie on next Thursday. So, basically my three days break were nothing special, just normal as always. Now, I think I should LAUGH more, otherwise I will killed by my pressure.

A great moment today

Today is another important day for our basketball team, as the result of we have a game coming today. After school, sixth floor, every basketball members gather at here in order to ready for the big game. Well... this is my first time to have a competition with World high school, therefore I feel kind of intense, because I don't know how bad or how well their basketball ability are. Unfortunately, we didn't have many audience come to see our game. But we still did a awesome job from the beginning quarter until the end of the quarter. Well... I meant if you see the score, you would think we did a good job, because we were approximately ten something higher than them. But as our opinion, we thought we could do much better. Anyway, I felt good about the result of the game, practically when we got score, every audience yelled enthusiastically which felt good. Well... the conclusion was luckily they were not as well as we expected, therefore we got the victory successfully. Even though we won the game eventually, we still can't depreciate other teams. We still need to practice harder and focus on our cooperative teamwork. We humble, we play with proud and we work together. Next time always will be better than this time.

Anther experience for Musical Production

Today, we start adding our action and emotion for our roles. Today I haven't had chance to go on the stage because my part is on the act 2, but I think every actors and actress in the act 1 did a great job, they made the stage become active and vivid after they put those incredible action and feeling in it. Our production gradually getting more interesting, and I think during this cooperation, each other's friendship became steady, because we learned how to help each other and we support each other, and we encourage each other, we know this is a teamwork. Everything is just impossibly to make up by one person. Personally, I think this is an appropriate class for not only active students but also shy students, because everyone is allowed to make mistakes here. This class is not going to judge about how great is your English ability or comment on how well is your speech or presentation. We alleviate our stress and relax being yourself here, if you make any mistakes such as pronounce unclearly or having a trouble to reveal your thought, then no one is going to laugh at you or blame on you, because those are the process of learning, so we build up and practice our English skills with relaxing here.

The feeling of musical production so far

Fortunately, after those tough days, after those hardship, after those diligent work, after those effort, we finally got our script done. I meant we read all the pages in our script which took approximately two and half class, I guess. Later on, I think we are going move to our emotion or action part, which is going to take more time....As we see, we spent like almost three hours on reading the script, if we want to put emotion and practice on action, then it gonna take like day and night, working incessantly. But those won't be difficulties for our group, because I think we have many good actors and actress in this class, so this production is going to be successful. I start to worry about the final essay compare-contrast essay, therefore we have to compare the book version and the movie version. Well...... I guess I will have to take couple minutes in order to watch the movie and read the book again. So today we are working on character's introduction, it like we have to show our comprehension about the character that you are going to act. Well...... this assignment is quite interesting, because I have more understanding after I answer those questions my characters. Be honest, this is my first time to participate in this kind of show, like drama, opera, and acting stuff. Well...... I think I probably is going to learn many things after this experience. Well...... I think "try to do something that you think is different will be a great challenge for yourself"

Weekend weekend

Um... another lovely week passed... last week, we had game with 光復 on Friday... unfortunately, not many people went there to see the game. BUT, our team still got good score.. now I think we have enough strength can contend with 光復  B team. Unlike before, we always lost lots of points, and never had chances to beat them... The weather is so weird recently, yesterday, the rain was like pour the water down from the sky, oppositely, today's weather was nice in the morning, and became very cold and big wind at night.....................

Huge wind is fine... just don't give me the rainy day, because I don't like raining. Until last Friday, I finally realized that some people in this school still don't have other countries passport, first I thought that was an essential material to get in this school. Therefore, those people don't have to come on next Monday, seems some one is going to have an investigation in this school. In order to avoid unnecessary circumstance to happen on that day... they determine to give a permission that those students do not have to come school at that day. So I guess, tomorrow is gonna be pretty bored, because many people might not going to school, consequently the class probably gonna be study hall or something.......

Conference day!!! I love this day, because you can finally see your classmates parents. Well... I think people usually curious what kind of parents your classmates have or how's they look like. Today, I think I saw pretty many my classmates' parents, which is pretty good. Unfortunately, my parents won't be here this time, because they are too busy, and they are not live in Hsinchu, so it sort of not convenient to come a long way from Taiwan to here. Sports day is coming, I feel quite excited, because I wasn't here last semester, so I didn't have chance to participate in this activity. I think this is the reason why I love this school so much, because we have many events and activities, which are interesting and cool. Well... we have another basketball game with 光復 on Friday, I think this opportunity is perfectly great, because we haven't playing with other school for a long time, so this might be a good chance to test how much have we improve. I slept at 2 or 3 recently, and I think this should thank for the most useful system "sleeptime". I feel that I can mange my sleep time very well. But I think no longer need sleep will be best option for me, however it seems so tough to make it. Last night I realized if you didn't follow this system just once, your sleep time will probably totally destroy at once, so if you don't want to get extremely tired, you have to keep following that, at least that what I think.

Lovely night

What a lovely night just pass, I didn't sleep a lot for last night,well I think I no longer need sleep as the result of I have my calculation of sleep cycle. It gives me lots of confidence, and get my work done on time which I think is very useful and helpful. Let's talk about the system Veracross, well, I didn't really share my opinion about this part in class, so I determined to say it at here. Vecracross is a useful system not only for teachers but also for students. We can check our grade right away after teacher grade our assignment, you usually don't have to wait until they give it back to us. Well... it provides more motivation and energy for me to put more effort on each class, once you see all of your grade are look fantastic, you will have impulse to keep all of them good, that how the system work. Veracross has a specific data about your grade and how teacher grade your paper, percentage and the current information are essentially put on there. As a consequence, I LOVE VERACROSS VERY MUCH, it makes me feel easy to catch on school's information such as the due time of assignment, the measure of homework. it makes life become easier and more convenient. For instance, if you see one of your class has failed no surprise, just go ask the class teacher right away, you don't have to wait until the end of the quarter, and I believe, both of teacher and you are not gonna remember all the stuff or errors they did or we did on assignment, so the best way to solve this is, fix the problem right away, then nowadays we already have this ability to do this by our master system Veracross.

Late in the midnight

Well.... I don't really want to write a journal actually, because now it's in the very late midnight. Anyway, seems I already finished one sentence of it, then I think I just keep going. Recently, I wondering that will liver explosion happen on my body? Because I frequently lack my sleep last week, even now, it's like 3:20, I am still writing my journal. Well... I will say, this weekend was a little bit busy, because I had three essays need to be completed. I love writing essays, as you can see, I was writing an essay for each day's journal before, so I think three essays in the weekend was just a little challenge for me. Well... I hope we can do the double spaces when we writing the journal, because it will be looked more flattering. Fortunately, I still had time to go outside and enjoyed some amusement. This weekend, I and my family went to a mountain, however it was not just a mountain, it was special and full of so-called inwardness. It's like many temples in one magnificent building which was built on the tall mountain. The air was fresh there, even though the climate was kind of wet, I still felt joyful. The purpose to here was because my cousin was lived there. It might sound weird for foreigner why do people live their home and live on the mountain. The answer is those are pious people who strongly worship their religion. In addition, they determined to live home and put their mind, heart and spirit on focusing this religion. It might be sort of sad that your son or daughter lived their house and do this kind of things, but I think people should be respectful on others' decisions, because they made the decisions by themselves, which means this might be a unreasonable action or behavior for their parents but it acceptable for  the decider, so..................yep and I hate this week's weather by the way, it kept raining.

Well...

Too bad that it has been raining for whole day! and we two basketball games was canceled unfortunately. Though our team have been not practicing for a long time, I still want to play the game, because I got my confidence to beat other teams. Well... Today I went to U.M.C, as I already introduced about this location before, so I am not going to explain any more about that. Today I determined to go to U.M.C because I didn't touch my favorite sport basketball for almost the entire week. As the result of I not gonna cool down my spirit of playing  basketball, I need find back my enthusiastic attitude in order to keep my hot shot. I didn't feel any regretful that I went to U.M.C today, because I work hard and finally played basketball this week that I feel much satisfy. And the midterms are finally over, now I just need to wait for my report card. I guess I probably should start push myself and get back on my road, keep moving on this destination. School's milk taste awesome, and the reason why I say this, because I am drinking it right now. I also feel that school's lunch keeps getting better that I didn't lose my digestion recently which is good. Because, today was raining, so we didn't have club, and every students watch the nice movie during this period. I enjoyed the movie very much, and I also learned something from it. Just like I say, I am the person that are easy affected by movie, every time I watched different movie I have different things come up my mind, it kinda like I change my personality after I watched the movie that I think it's educational.

Thanks for Mr.Dahl

Finally, we know our midterm score for English class which is also the grade for this semester I care about most. After I see my grade, I kinda know how the way that Mr. Dahl put question in his test or the direction of studying for his quiz. I don't feel satisfy with my midterm grade for this class, and I can't blame on any person, because I am the only person that made this grade, no one else which means I have my responsibility to take any bad or good result. After this experience, I realize that students should be participated in every activities in class. I meant if you are focus enough and try to answer teachers questions, you won't get too much stress while you are preparing for your midterm. The problem of losing points in this midterm was because I didn't know the details of the stories very well. And it also taught me that I should get my work done accurately. Okay, the thing I am going to say is I very appreciate Mr. Dahl's educational spirit. I always see that he still working while most of teacher are already left, and he is probably the last teacher who leave this campus. The reason why he leave so late because he is checking his students assignments, and he spends lot of time to correct each of our work. After I and my classmates ate my dinner, and came back to school. We saw Mr.Dahl room's light was still open, so we determined to walk in, and told him about that participation grade wasn't on  Verocross, and after his explanation, we realized why we couldn't see our grade. However, the things that surprised me was he already grade our quiz which we just finished in this class in the afternoon. So he gave back our quiz in order to explain our mistakes, and Mr. Dahl was willing to spend time on each of us that I felt very touching about his behavior. He took time and tried his best to teach students as much as he can.

Sleep cycle

Recently, someone suggested me to use a program that it helps you to manage your sleep time which I think it's very useful. Basically, it helps you to calculate a sleep cycle and the program divide the period of our sleep time by ninety minutes. In addition, if we follow the time that the program suggests us to sleep, you will feel more comfortable when you wake up in the morning. I think this kind of stuff it's pretty cool to know, because I always sleep late in order to study or finish my homework on time. So I hope I can have sleep comfortably by following the time program gives to me. I have seen another program which is very similar with this one, it's available on apps store that we can download the program to iPhone. it's called sleep cycle alarm clock, user can wake up more comfortable by using this special alarm clock. It gives you a sleep cycle which tell you the most appropriate time to sleep and wake you with the soft music when you are not in deep sleep. I don't know it's actually work or not, but people who believe this program probably will work. I will try this program for couple time in order to test if it's work for me or not. My roommate

Recently, one of my roommate is gone... why he is not here? not because he moved to other place, is because he is unable to come back here. Actually, I have no idea where he is, the only message I got was he got arrestment by police officer, because he stole a chocolate bar from 7-11. His behavior didn't surprise me, because this was not the first time he conducts illegally. I think most of students in our school are discussing about this person, some of them got message from other classmates, some of them got the message from news report. I still remember the first day I talked to him, and the first impression he gave me was he's shy and doesn't like to talk that much. However, as the responsibility of old student, I think I should talk to me first and try my best to let him fit in this new environment as soon as possible. Soon we could have well conversation and shared habits with each other. I thought our friendship was well building and getting better, however he started to reveal some of his bad behavior such as drank alcohol and slept very late after midnight. First, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, at least he didn't affect others. Soon, I realized that I was wrong, he usually reacted irritably or or ungainly when he was drunk that we always need to take care of him in order to prevent trouble. Things getting more and more serious until he got ms. Pamela's attention. After living couple months with him, I gradually know his personality, he is a very smart student that he never study and he finish this assignment very fast, but he still get good grades. He is the person that very care about his friendship and social life, he doesn't want to be lonely, however sometimes, he just doesn't know how to make friend or make a good conversation with others. I could see many people around him try to help him or try to make friends with him, however he reacted disappointedly sometimes that he becomes anger when others point out his disadvantages, he thinks he is right. This happens first time, and second time, his friends becomes less and less because he can't accept censure from others.

Unbalanced diet

Did you know unbalanced diet can cause dangerous diseases? Is it true that pregnant women’s diet can affect the sex of her child? And the fat is gradually happens on young children because of unbalanced diets. Diet has a profound influence on health. Luckily, many of the negative effects of an unbalanced diet can be fixed by paying attention to what we eat.

There are lots of effects by unbalanced diets such as fat and disease even the sex of babies. Stroke, hypertension and high cholesterol are dangerous for our health, and all these happen because of poor blood circulation. Unbalanced diet makes veins thinner, slowing down blood flow. In addition, there are others symptoms caused by bad blood circulation which people are not as noticeable: For instance, poor memories, perceived barriers, and hearing impairment. Bad blood circulation will cause oxygen insufficiency, decreased metabolism, and toxicity accumulated which can lead to headache, or the worst case, even cancer. Conversely, we can prevent these health problems by eating choline or antioxidants.

A recent study found that, women who eat cereal for breakfast are more likely to have male babies and women don’t eat breakfast are more likely to have female babies. Although the rates of having female or male babies are completely same in this experiment, scientists found women who consume more high calories are more likely to have male babies. Another experiment investigated 740 women who were going to have their first child without knowing its sex. All the subjects are white, healthy, and of a healthy weight. They were required to keep weekly a food record before they pregnant. Researchers use these data to identify women who get much calories will 56% chance to have male baby and women who get less calories will 45% chance to have male baby, which is a big difference. Furthermore, scientists found high quality food can affect sex of babies as well. Though there are scientists have done many experiments, but they still not sure whether calories or food can affect sex of baby or not. What is certain in that to know is women must have balanced diets in order to have healthy babies.

According to health of elementary student’s record states, 60% of students consume at least twice the daily value of protein. UCLA professor David Heber says obesity is becomes big problems in next generation. 7% children are over-weight in America, and 10% of 0.29 billion children have too much fat in China. Experts state that fat will cause diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic diseases. In the same way, fat people are easy to mock by others which mean they will lose their confidence easily or become depression.

Believe it or not, unbalanced diet will cause many bad effects such as dangerous diseases, obesity, or even have unhealthy babies. And some symptoms are gradually occurring on children which mean not only adults but also children need balanced diet in order to prevent those influences. In this way, we can decrease the rate of death and live healthy in order to have beautiful life. 

Midterm week 3

Lovely, we finally finished the most exciting quiz for "English" class. Um... In fact, I love the quiz very much, what a happy and great quiz! Full of multiple choices, and few stories were there waiting for you to complete. Basically, I can understand the questions but I got kind of confused by some of options, because I think two of three of them are reasonable. So... the first time I took Mr. Dahl's quiz which was kinda excited. The only thing that made me not feel satisfy was I forgot to study the sheet that Mr. Dahl gave to us, in this case I was unable to finish one part of my quiz. I could only use my available knowledge. Almost complete my quiz on time, which was bad, because I couldn't have chance to double check my answers again. So this was a not sure quiz, which made me kinda nervous. By the way, today is symmetrical day which is pretty cool 2 0 11 11 02, AWESOME! Hopefully, we can play with 實驗 high school next Thursday during the club time, I want to see the improvement I made and how's the difference between the last game we played in tournament. Basketball team needs to work harder in order to become competitive and influential, in this case, we are able to beat other teams in December's game. Let me explain what December's game is so important, because every schools are going to attend this final game. It will be reported on TV show as well which called HBL, if we work harder and practice frequently, I think it won't be impossible for us to get into the HBL.

Midterm week 2

So far, we already finished two midterm. One of it was my favorite subject "Sport", the interesting was that Mr. LEE used a special way to test us. We played baseball instead of taking quiz, which was very characterized. The winner would get A- however, loser get B- for the class grade. Luckily, we won the game ultimately, and I and my team were so happy that we even got the highest score 14 to 3. I should praise the girl member in our team, they didn't play outstandingly in recent game, however, they did a very good job for this final game. Hopefully we can play as well as this game for next time. Um... I don't know what else can say, sometimes it is just kind of hard to reach your dream, but I think I am not going to give up this soon. Still can confused sometimes, I have too many dreams need to be accomplished, but I become stressful and feel lots of pressure when I on my way to reach the goal. Many I should change my mind, I meant I should try to think in other way. I know that people always say we should think positively, but it's just hard to think in this way sometimes. I have too many things want to do, and too many goals need to be achieve. Anyway, I wrote randomly because I don't really know what should I say for today's journal. So, yes midterm week again, and I am so happy because I think I did a well job for today's flash animation midterm, and there comes another midterm for English class tomorrow. I expect it's coming!

Midterm week

Lovely week, because this is midterm week yes. I feel so comfortable about this, as the result of I can get my freedom after this week. Actually, I always have headache when I have midterm in local school. There would be more than 6 subjects need to be prepared, however, it was tough for me to get every subject done. Therefore, pressure gradually came up, I became stressful eventually. The happiest memory in my mind about the final or midterm was happened when I was grade four or three. I still remember that I got 2nd in my class which made me so happy. In fact, I never got 1st for final or midterm so far, but I think not everything depends on grade. Something is the grade can't replace, such as social life, basketball skills, a sense of humor.  This is might be one of the reason that I love American System very much, because students usually not compare their grades with each other. Thus, they study for themselves, not for others which is a real spirit of studying. Nowadays, students become competitive in order to be better than others. They do not want to loss, they do not want to embarrass themselves, they do not want to see others' advantages. Those kind of students are pathetic as the result of they look other negatively, so they must be negative either. Negativeness bring many unflattering materials such as your mind tend to be jealous easily and you do not want to see others are better than you, which happens inappropriately. On the other hand, positiveness can be another tough challenge for us as well. We are required to see others positively, so the first thing you need to changed is yourself. For instance, positive mind can see positive things. Positiveness is the best energy in this world, it brings confidence, courage and the most important thing a sense of humor. Without a sense of humor, people won't laugh, they calm, not interested at all which is banal. As a consequence, we need to manage many things in order to have a positive mind. School is a good place to practice your social life, because we chatting with friends not only during the class but also in lunch time. Therefore, be outgoing,then you can make as many friends as you wish which makes your life better.

Nice weekend

Another awesome weekend just pass, oh ya. This weekend, I finally did some important things. I meant, you know it was important to me. I went to movie theater and watched "The Three Musketeers", I enjoyed the movie very much. Even though I was unwilling to go watch it at first time, I felt I made a good option. As we know "The Three Musketeers" regarded as one of the most famous novel in this world. Despite I haven't read the novel yet, I think I will start to be interested in reading its novel. As the result of the movie didn't finish the entire novel, so if we want to know the ending, you will have to finish the rest of novel by our own, which is good for me. I can practice my English ability and have a good improvement by reading novel frequently. Lovely, fortunately, hopefully, and luckily, I went to movie theater today, I learned mistakes from characters' experience, challenge. That was one of the reason why I love watching movie. So next week, ya it's midterm week, AWESOME. Eventually, midterm week is coming, the only thing I am worry about it's Mr Dahl's class grade. I was unable to see my so far grade, therefore, I have no idea what is my recent grade. I was afraid that the grade will be unexpected. But I think I did a good job at this class, the grade won't be unflattering .

Best Halloween ever

YA! Today is Halloween, and I was so excited because I didn't participate in this activity last year for some reasons. In the morning, I wore hat that I didn't want anyone to see my new haircut, because that would be a surprise a afternoon's performance. Unfortunately, I can't join my team's show, because I had to stand in haunted house and been ghost for entire afternoon.  Okay. So I had to put white paint on my face, drew some nails, and big red lips in order to be scary. I think my make up was successful, because even I felt creepy of it. Show time! Every one got on their position and prepared scare people. I didn't think we did a good job on scaring the first and second set of people, however after few set of people, we became expert in this areas that we almost scared every set of people. I think if you want to freak someone out, the thing you like to hear most will be their scream. Scream was indispensable ingredient in haunted house, and we like to their funny face when they freak out. Every set of people are interesting, some of them were easy to scare, conversely some of them felt nothing and wouldn't get scare at all. Maybe, they were freak out, but they stood clam intentionally that they didn't want to be embarrass in front of other, however I could tell their frightened face obviously. Anyway, we were very happy that some many people participated in haunted house, although it was extremely scared that even I didn't really want to go in. And we had a successful ending ultimately which made me feel satisfying and sense of achievement. Everyone displayed their creativity today, they dressed as special as they could which showed the spirit of Halloween. I will like to participate in Halloween next year, and I hope I can still be a ghost in haunted house again.

My hair!!!

Today was important to me, I had to complete two great tasks. One, we had exciting baseball final game in the last period for PE class. Why this game was so important to me? because this game affected your midterm grade, winner got A- loser got B- which was pretty cruel. Therefore, we couldn't become slack and concentration was necessary. There we go! the game started, and we were going to play offensive first. First minutes later, we couldn't get any points and there were three people out already! Our situation kind of looked bad, but we never give up, we play with steady and confident. They got three points at first game swiftly, but we did a good job on defense, so we quickly got our opportunity back. The situation was getting good, now our points tie. Then, everyone got excited because of another HOME RUN was coming out. This time, four points in the pocket. HOME RUN constantly came out, one and two points. Now we changed our situation, the score was 12 to 3 which made us excited. Then, it's my turn, !!! the ball flied far away. Oh it was another HOME RUN, afterwards Godwin hit the other HOME RUN as well. Thus, we got 14 points ultimately. My team were so crazy that we got the highest score ever and we got A- too. This event was just piece of cake for me, after school, another big event were waiting for me which made me so nervous. I was going to shave my head for Halloween, maybe this behavior was unnecessary. I could just put some Halloween decoration on my body and that's it. But I chose to shave my head, one reason was our captain just shaved his head recently, which was cool and showed powerful. In addiction, some of our basketball team members determined to shave our head together right after today's practice. First, we were looking for suitable hat every where, because we didn't want anyone to see our hair before Halloween performance. So we decided to wear hat until that period. After shaved my head, I felt relax and proud of my, because I finally overcome my fear which was a good experience for me.

Musical Production and Halloween is coming

Halloween is on Thursday, however I am going to be a ghost in hunting house which is quite excited. I just know that my character is main male role in that story that I think it is pretty cool. The image of my role is kind of like white face and some nails stick on my face which looks a bit creepy, but this is Halloween so creepy is necessary. Hunting house is so scary and exciting, decoration there are creepy and the story that we are going to perform in there shows that can make people scream or yell. I believe most of people will freak out in hunting house, as the result of student council did a good job on showing Halloween spirit that decoration are so vivid and scary. Now, I would like to talk about some musical experience, I enjoy this class very much. Every time, we will do different activities such as some interesting game that I never played before, or some nice post of warm up. I think students can practice their courage by showing your opinion and acting with each other. Courage is important, because people need this ingredient in order to show themselves, otherwise no one will know what they are thinking about. Courage is also useful for charismatic leadership, I never seen any leader that is shy and always hesitate, they always show their mind or opinion. So I think after musical's activities give me a good opportunity to improve my courage, and I feel less shy when I stand in front of audience or many people.

Basketball team

After three constant games, we need to take a show break in order to keep moving on. At today's practice, we only warm up and play full-court directly which is pretty good without conditioning. I didn't like doing conditioning before, because I was tired of it. But now... not anymore, I realized how far is our basketball ability to other schools. I determined to take our points back in December's game, so conditioning and pushing ourselves are necessary. Furthermore, we need a new strategy that can reinforce our offensive and rebuild our position in defense. We got lots of stuff need to accomplish, but the certain thing is we won't give up until we become a successful team. The good thing happen in our team is everyone will encourage each other, even though we lost the game. For December's game, most of basketball members are going to shave their head which is symbolize we love basketball enthusiastically. In December, we are going to see many things such as improvement, teamwork, confidence, encouragement, and organization. Many things need to work on, I expect our victory is coming.

Yani Tseng

LPGA takes place at SUNRISE driving range in Taiwan which is meaningful to us. Yani Tseng is regarded as one of successful golf player in the world. She is youngest golf player who won the first championship when she was nineteen. Yani Tseng is so famous and popular, as the result of she won five majority championship and is contemporary ranked number 1. Yani Tseng is Michael Jordan in golf.  Today, my family and I went to SUNRISE driving range in order to see queen of golf Yani Tseng. Fortunately, we saw her soon while she was practicing. Even though I prefer basketball, I was so excited that Yani Tseng was just stand in front of me. The feeling was like Kobe Bryant stood in front of you which was very exciting. There were lots of people at SUNRISE, however we found a suitable place that we could see Yani Tseng clearly. At second hole, Yani Tseng played absolutely wonderful game which made me feel satisfied and worth to watch this game. Afterwards we could have much opportunities to see Yani, because the weather was too hot and people were crowded. Food there were extremely expensive, they almost cost two times more than the original prices. When we left SUNRISE, Yani hadn't finish her game. Even though we were not there, we still followed the information of her score. At first Yani and no.2 player's score were very close, however Yani pulled apart the score by playing steadily. Eventually, Yani had won the game and strive honor for us.

Big air ball today hahah!

Yes, we won the game, Finally!   We enjoy the victory very much! This is the second time we won the game since I participated in basketball team. However this time is kind of special, because I am starter! Even though, we won the game, I didn't feel so happy. Because I didn't do a good job on offensive, but I think I did a pretty good job on defense. I tried my best to block, get rebound and steal~ I think today's victory is a good sight for our team because we got another important game to win tomorrow! Keep practicing, after today's game I learn that we have to keep pushing ourselves, no matter what. My dream is just there, and I think if I keep working hard, one day.. one day I will reach that! Now, I promise myself "Never give up" Nothing can stop me, not getting lazy anymore. At this moment, my motivation is "after one year, see how much have I improve" Just do myself, don't affect by other people. I believe that I can accomplish what I want, and I have clear thought that I know what I am doing. Challenge myself Willy.

Game is coming

Not only basketball team but also teachers' tournament is coming. This week, I supposed to sleep earlier, but I went to bed like 3:30, which affect my strength and I would unable to run full-court. I can feel that my strength is decreasing because it necessary for my liver to take break during 11:00 to 2:00, however I didn't. This week I made a poster about Steve Jobs, and I chose ten of his advantages which I admire. Originality, Intelligent ability, Circumspection, Insistence, Brilliant businessman, Creativity, and I forgot some of them. I think insistence is the most important talent for me. For instance, I supposed to write an essay for my blogger everyday, but I already miss yesterday and today's, and I had been not studying vocabulary since we finished official PSAT test. People sometime get lazy, for example, when you feel tired, the devil from you heart will appear and tell you "Hey, go to bed or stop doing assignment". Sometimes devil will win, so people need to overcome the devil or even destroy it! I guess that why students need teacher to push them, if Mr. Dahl didn't say we have to type blogger everyday, I believe not many students will type it. My conclusion is students actually can do many things, but they lack motivation that they can't push themselves. Sometimes, people say "Oh, I can't do it", conversely they are saying that "Oh, I don't want to do it" Everyone has good abilities to accomplish many things, however some of them are just lazy.

Rest.

Sometimes, I feel I lost my goal and destination. I don't really know how to maintain the a good positive feeling, and balance everything in my life...... I always affect by others easily and I clearly realize this disadvantage, but it just different to overcome...... I think the thing that influence people most is there mind, the thing in your thought and the way you look others. Sometimes, a frustration might give me a motivation to push myself. However this motivation can not be maintained ! I think insistence is important in my life, never give up and concentrate on what you want. Sometimes, this week I sleep late like 3:30 am. I understand that it's not good for my health, but I feel that I can have more studying time. I want to say I feel so tired, actually I don't have to be this tired, but I always give pressure to myself and have a high goal which doesn't seem it can be achieved easily. As always, sometimes I feel I am successful on something, sometimes I feel I fail on many things. It hard to balance school work and social life for me. So I guess I need to push myself up and try to get back to my road in order to let my dream come true and accomplish my goals.

            Humans depend on animals for many things but the way we treat them raises some important moral question. There are more than one hundred thousand animals dead in Taiwan because of experiments. In modern times, there are many issues of animal rights. However, the concept of animal rights doesn’t mean they should have all the same right human. For instance, animals naturally can’t vote. So animal right only ensure them by laws in order to avoid people who abuse animals.

            Dr. Jane Goodall is a famous animal conservationist who has been investigating chimpanzee life for fifty years and has corrected many academic misunderstandings about chimpanzees. She realized that chimpanzees are not as docile as we once thought, sometimes, they will make a group in order to hunt others prey which is strikingly similar to what human beings, and chimpanzees also have a social class in their society. However they will try to strive for higher social class just like us. Once, Goodall found that chimpanzees made tools to retrieve ants from an anthill. This discovery shattered the concept that “only humans can make tools”. As Goodall states, there’s a close relationship between humans and chimpanzees. She also said the similarity between chimpanzees and human’s genes are above 98.5%. In 1977, Dr. Goodall established a research center in order to spread wild animal conservation and environmental education to the whole world. In 1984, Dr. Goodall has set up a zoo in order to keep chimpanzees that were illegally hunted by hunters, and this is also the biggest chimpanzee research center in the world. As we know, Dr. Jane Goodall has strived many rights for chimpanzees which let others people know we should be respectful to animals, because some of them have feelings just like us.  

            The issue of animal experiment action can be discussed very widely, as we know from dissect frogs to duplicate sheep Dolly. According to G.KUsters (1933) states, until 1900, there were sixty Nobel Prizes giving to people who invented new medicine successfully and discovered the function of medicine. However, animals have participated in every experiment which means animals had big contributions for us to resist diseases and prolong our life. In contrast, their sacrifices for our health become our reasons to keep doing animal experiment. Thus, scientists have noticed this moral problem, and they spend lot of money to replace animal experiment. In this way scientists can get the same result of research as well. Actually, in 1959, Russel and Burch published a book called “The Principles of Human Experimental Technique”. In this book, they contend three points of doing animal experiment: replacement, reduction, and refinement. Three points basically mean scientists will try to replace animal experiments by spending lot of money, reduce animal experiments as many as they can, and make experiments more refined. As awareness of animal rights developed, scientists began to follow these three points in America and Europe.

            Even though laws don’t endow animal right as same as humans, there are many laws designed to ensure that animals are mistreated by people. In England, America and France, after people die, they can establish a philanthropic fund to ensure their pets’ life. In 1992, Switzerland has passed a law that states that animals are “beings” and not “things”, and Germany has ingrained animal rights in their constitution. Moreover, in Israel, the government prohibits students from dissecting animals and forbids animal performances in circuses. Most people think chimpanzees have high wisdom, and chimpanzees are able to determine their situations. If their freedom limited by someone, they will feel depress as same as us, conversely, there are some animals that only have simple nerve system such as jellyfish. Jellyfish’s structure is only kind of more complicate than a mechanical arm, which means they are unable to make decisions or they don’t even know if they have rights or not. Strictly, if we are talking about animal rights, there is no harm in grouping jellyfish with vegetables. How do we judge what kind of animals should have rights? So far, there are no specific standards, but we can say with certainty that we have to respect to animals without mistreating and abusing them.

            Believe it or not, people are similar to some animals such as chimpanzees, and we should be respect to animals because some of them have emotion and feelings just like us. Many organizations and people have strived for animal rights. However the concept of animal rights is not the same as human rights. Nowadays, scientists spend much money in order to use other experiment to replace animal experiment. Not only scientists but also we as the public have to respect to animals and protect them from being mistreated or abused. In this way, the argument of animal rights will reduce and our society will be more harmonious and satisfactory. .

Let’s makes this impossible possibility as other accident, for instance, the classic odds of being struck by lightning which seems unlikely happen. As the Nation Safety Council states there were between 70 to 120 people died by lightning in U.S. Provided that we take average 100, and population of U.S approximately 265 million. That means the chance of being killed by lightning roughly 2650000 to 1. However, it still 6 to 45 times more possible to die from killed by lightning than winning the lottery tickets.

            Actually, people need to be skillful in order to increase the possibility of winning lottery. Here, we only analysis on “Lottery number selection”. As we know, most of people will not bet a bundle on one horse before they study its previous performances. Wall Street analyst always do handicapping which means they analysis past data first, then determine the future prize trends, in order to against other investors. In this case, we analysis the past action of common winning lottery numbers to help us determine which one has greatest possibility of being drawn.  People should pick number that happens frequently, if something rarely or never happened before, as a common sense tells you shouldn’t choose that number. Suggesting that people should avoid picking consecutive number such as 1-2-3-4-5-6, as the result of it never happened on any states or international lotteries, and it will happen this week just because you put your money on it!

Therefore, some set of number is not impossible at all, however, we should choose the number which happens frequently in order to have bigger possibility to win lottery.  Furthermore, if you see many lotteries game, you will know it pointless to choose the same number weeks after weeks such as you won’t bet your money on a horse which has lost already lost 50 races.

            Those data are just roughly examining the possibility of winning lottery. However people shouldn’t spend too much money on lottery in order to become billionaire in one night. In my opinion, people should work step by step and put effort on what you should concentrate on, if people want to be successful by luck, which is happen rarely.             I can’t image that I don’t have Facebook to use for I week. Facebook is the most popular social networking service in the world, and it helps people build their friendship by contacting with other easily. For instance, we can see friends’ photos or chat, bug them, and we also can play game with friends on Facebook.

            Mark Zuckerberg is the founder of Facebook, who studied in Harvard University. Mark and his college roommates built this system collaboratively and it soon widely spread to other college in Boston areas, Ivy League and Stanford University. Later, it gradually supported by various universities before it open to high school students, eventually, to anyone who 13 age and over. However as consumers report states, there are 7.5 million children who under 13 have Facebook account which is violating site’s terms.

            In the movie “Social Network” Mark Zuckerberg created the site called “Facemash” after she broke up with his girlfriend. Mark Zuckerberg hacked the protect areas and copied houses’ private of dormitory ID image in order to use these photos. The site will show two girls picture in the same time and ask which one is hotter and it attracted 450 visitors and 22000 photo-views in the first four hours which was very brilliant for a sophomore student in Harvard.

            Mark Zuckerberg was in trouble when he built “Facebook”. Initially, there were three Harvard senior invited Mark Zuckerberg to create another social network cooperatively. Conversely, Mark was intentionally to join them and tried to steal their ideas from his own website. As the result, these three Harvard senior complained to Harvard Crimson and filed lawsuits against Zuckerberg, subsequently settling.

            Facebook members were gradually increase and it widely expand to other areas such as high schools, companies even continents. Nevertheless, Facebook was changed from The Facebook by Sean Parker’s advises. Anyway, this social networking service has become the most visited website. Most of people around us are using Facebook and you can also build a better friendship with someone by adding him/her as friend.

            Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his three college roommates. Although there were some trouble during Mark Zuckerberg was building this popular site, it became successful ultimately. Nowadays, people can contact with their friends easily without using cellphone or meeting them. Facebook was regards for the most popular social networking service in this century.

SAT students usually ask “how should I prepare for SAT?” First, you need SAT prep test book which is available in many book store. Afterwards, seeking out what questions you got wrong and analysis which weak areas you still need working on. SAT prep books are useful and helpful that includes the practices with answers and explanations.

After we done diagnostic test, we can clearly figure out which part is our weakness. It could be math, critical reading or writing, and make a specific SAT studying plan that you need to put effort and concentration on it. If you get bored easily, then you can try to separate them for different days such as Monday focusing on critical reading and Tuesday working on math.

Second, vocabularies are absolutely important for SAT, especially in critical reading. The best way to increase your improvement, people should use flashcards or internet program in order to remember SAT vocabularies. Conversely, it’s unnecessary for people to remember so many words at one time. In general, we only have to remember 30~50 words per day and try to review them in the end of week. And the weekly review is usually crucial, as the result of you can recall your memory and become more familiar with those words.

At the math section, you have to make sure you understand every mistake before you moving on the next one. It is hard to work on your weakness, on the other hand, the more mistakes you fix during the practice the fewer mistakes you make on the test day. In this case, your score will get higher.

SAT students can read the article such as “The Wall Street Journal” in order to improve critical reading. While you are reading, you have curiosity about what style are author writing in, opinion and report? These are typical question in critical reading.

SAT students have to know some tricks about how to make correct answers on writing section. Furthermore, you can trust your ear, if you think the sentence sounds right, and then the answer probably will be correct. Again, “The Wall Street Journal” is a good material book to us which can improve not only critical reading but also writing skills. As for essay, we need to make a plan before we start writing our essay. In this way, you can flow smoothly and you will know what exactly you are going to write about.

As a consequence, people need to overcome their weakness at different sections, the more weakness we fix the more improvement we get. We have to step by step and put the effort as much as you can. We also need to avoid procrastination, as the result of more work you done better result you get.

            Did you know when did internet establish? Where was WWW come from? And what influences that internet has caused so far. Nowadays, internet is playing a part of significant role in our lives. Human-beings use internet not only makes their lives conveniently but also makes their work effectively.

            The origin of internet started from 1960s, United States Government was commissioned to build distributed and fault-tolerant computer network with cooperation and private commercial interests. Few years later, Nation Science Foundation replaced the United States Government and became the new backbone of America. It has successfully improved the development of computer network and helped to spread network widely. In this case, the populations of using computer network were increasing until now. As the record states, approximately one quarter of population on the earth use the services of internet.

            Internet is a global system, which serves more than billion users in the world. And internet constituted by private, public, academic, business or government network. The internet spread successfully as the result of it linked by wireless and optical network technologies. It carries an enormous range of information and network sources, and the most familiar one to us is “World Wide Web” (WWW).

            In this modern time, internet has replaced implements in our lives. For instance, we can use the functions of telephone or video call by computer network instead of using our cell phone. Computer networks open another commercial market that gives more opportunities for people who are looking for jobs. Some familiar works on the internet such as online shopkeeper or website owner. “Google” and “YouTube” are two of the most famous companies which became successful by computer network.

            As the consequence, people use internet frequently in this society in order to work effectively and live conveniently. Internet was established in 1960s until now, and it estimated that there are more than one quarter populations on the earth are using the service of computer networks. Internet has brought good commercial opportunities for people and made our lives better.

Is it better to make a bad decision than no decision?

From ancient time to present, people make decisions of varying importance every day. Decisions can be right or wrong, however it is usually judged by personal value. Whether it is right or wrong, people shouldn’t make no decisions just to avoid negative consequences.

            Warren Buffet is widely regarded as one of the most successful investors in the world. During the financial crisis, most people were afraid to invest. However, Buffet was part of the minority that continued to invest. Although this behavior has caused many blames on his part, he became successful in the end.

           People who don’t make any decisions are like sailors going along with the ocean waves without a destination. Conversely, people making bad decisions may cause an even worse outcome. After bad experiences, people will learn more skills about how to overcome different situations, making them stronger.

            Mackay’s Moral quote, “Don’t be afraid to make a decision. Be afraid not to make a decision.” According to this quotation, people need to advance in order to improve themselves. In contrast, if you stand at origin in order to shun worse results, you will never have the chance to become successful.

            People should make decisions instead of taking no decisions. No matter if the decisions are right or wrong, we shouldn’t be afraid to choose just to keep away from trouble. Improvement is caused by challenges to oneself. On the other hand, if we make no decisions, we are unable to learn anything or achieve our goal. Thus people can become stronger by making decisions. Even though the bad decisions might bring about the worst situations, we can always fix it and move on. One day, we are able to overcome tough challenges and become successful.

"Steve Jobs was the greatest inventor since Thomas Edison. He put the world at our fingertips." Steve Jobs died on Wednesday at age 56. Everyone is saddened to learn of Steve Job’s death, and his death is regarded by many noteworthy people in the world such as Barack Obama, Bill Gates and The Walt Disney Company. Steve Jobs is renowned for his originality and intelligent ability who has leaded technology to a new generation.

Steve Jobs is an original thinker and a brilliant businessman who created the most influential computer “Macintosh”, and he has reinvented portable music player “iPod”. This amazing invention also opened the commercial opportunity that selling music online legally with iTunes and reordered the cellphone market with iPhone. Anther magnificent introduction of iPad also jump-started the electric-tablet market. Steve Jobs is widely regarded as a genius who has intelligent understanding the needs of consumers.

Apple only announced his death but they didn’t mention where Steve Jobs died. Once, Steve Jobs has talk openly about his pancreatic cancer which diagnosed in 2004. Later, he was furious about the speculation of his health in 2008 and he looked gaunt when he appeared in the public. One year passed, he left his company in order to have liver transplant.

In my opinion, the death of Steve Jobs was too coincident that iPhone 4S was just published and Apple’s share price dropped 5 percent. Therefore, maybe the time of his death was not on Wednesday which was earlier. And Apple concealed this truth in order to make pretension for something.

Steve Jobs was famous by his intelligent and originality. However he passed away on this Wednesday and it was regarded by many notable people. He has many amazing inventions which gave more commercial opportunities in the market and made our lives more convenient. The reason of his death was pancreatic cancer, however Apple only announced his death but they didn’t mention where. Thus, there might have some clandestine information which they do not want people concern about.

Smart People

Did you know what the definition of genius is? Is it true that people who graduated from Harvard University are smarter than others? Smart people are regarded as their intellectual ability, creativity and unprecedented insight. Therefore, they usually have successful achievement on not only their academic work but also charisma.

So far, there’s no specifically accurate definition of genius. Nevertheless, Galton, who is widely regarded as the founder of “Psychometry” referred that transcendence, is caused by genetic trait. He studied people heritability in order to count eminent relatives of smart people. Afterwards he figure out that eminent relatives are greater with closer degree of kinship. Basically, geniuses are distinguished to two different types. One of them becomes intelligent by naturally such as Albert Einstein, the other one becomes intelligent by putting effort such as Thomas Edison. As his most famous quotation: “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” 

            Harvard alumni are smarter than most of alumni who graduated at others colleges, as the result of its difficult admission standard and difficult academic standard. The certain thing for sure that Harvard students enjoy business connect and an easy time to become successful. However it doesn’t mean they can’t also be smarter.

As the record states, there are 50 people who won Nobel Prize have been affiliated with Harvard University. For instance, Barrack Obama is widely renowned for his charisma, who is one of Nobel Prize winner graduated from Harvard Law School.

            As a consequence, there are many geniuses not only in the past time but also in the present time.  Some of geniuses are clever naturally and some of geniuses are smart by working hard. People who study at Harvard University are usually more intelligent than others college graduates, because they have tough admission and academic standards.
